Clipform for Shopify

The Clipform app adds your video forms to any page of your Shopify store - a product quiz, a survey, a feedback or signup form - through a drop-in theme block. The app is free to install and reads none of your store's customer or order data.

Before you start

You need:

• A free Clipform account - the app connects to it, it does not replace it.
• A form to embed. If you do not have one yet, follow Create your first form.

Install the app

1. Open the Clipform listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app.
2. Approve the install. Clipform requests no scopes, so there are no data permissions to grant.
3. You land on the Clipform page inside your Shopify admin, under Apps > Clipform.

Add the Clipform block to your theme

1. On the Clipform app page, click Add block in theme editor. The theme editor opens with the Clipform block ready to place.
2. Choose where the form should appear and position the block on the page.
3. Click Save.

You can also add it manually: in the theme editor, click Add section (or Add block), open the Apps group, and choose Clipform.

Paste your Share ID

1. In the Clipform dashboard, open your form and copy its Share ID from the Share panel (the short code at the end of your share link, for example the abc123 in clipform.io/abc123).
2. In the theme editor, select the Clipform block and paste the code into its Share ID field.
3. Click Save. The form now renders inline on your storefront.

Where responses go

Responses land in your Clipform dashboard in real time. Open your form and go to Responses to see who replied, when, and what they said, and to export them. The Shopify app does not read or store your Shopify customer or order data - it only collects what visitors enter into the form.

The Shopify app is free and makes no charges through Shopify. Clipform's plans - for higher response limits, custom themes, and more - are managed on your Clipform account at clipform.io. See Billing.

Troubleshooting

The block isn't in the theme editor

Confirm the app is installed (Apps > Clipform in your admin), then use Add section > Apps > Clipform.

The form area is blank

• Check that the Share ID is correct (the code from your share link).
• Check that the form is set to Live in the dashboard.

The form looks too narrow or clipped

The form holds a 9:16 (portrait) shape sized from its width. Give the section enough room, or adjust the block's Max width setting under Advanced.
